No ferry to cross the Mersey here
After packing the van we got away about 12, calling at Thirsk to get the LPG topped up. The roads were very busy so we didn’t get to the Park4Night Mr C had sussed out in Altringham till 5.30. It was by a large playing field. There he found signs and cameras saying 2 hours only unless you had a locals’ disc.
I had a look on the site app and found one at Jackson Boat pub. It’s lovely, adjacent to a little football pitch and as the pub closes at 7 pm hopefully quiet. A path leads up to this bridge across the Mersey, from where I took the blip. The van is a white speck beyond the fence and in the trees. And even better, it’s a five minute walk to the metro in the morning. I’m definitely in the good books, not only for finding the parking place, but also the station is a zone further in than his planned place.
