Another day, another tow path

The days are racing by and today was an opportunity to do the risk assessment for the third and final stage of the Union Canal next month.

After a rushed breakfast with Alexander, who seemed a bit hoarse after his gig, I caught an early bus to Ratho and walked from Ratho Basin into Edinburgh, an easy 8 miles or so. A quick trip to the National Galleries, and Seasalt and back to Glasgow on the same bus we caught last week.

The moorhen are definitely more gallus in Edinburgh. The extra was taken centimetres from the tow path in Sighthill, the first time I’ve seen a young one so close. In Glasgow they hover in the vegetation.
