Wanderings and meanders

Brimstone

Grimsthorpe

No fire, but a few brimstone; when not pretending to be a leaf they were fluttering alongside lots of meadow brown, a few gatekeeper, peacock, red admiral and damselfly.  The red kite overhead were too inclined to swooping behind the trees.

We enjoyed a leisurely walk in the gardens, under the cedar and ginkgo, and admiring the hollyhocks, gladioli and roses.  There were even Lincolnshire sausages in rolls available from the March Hare of Corby Glen.
