Nice lunch of Derbyshire oatcakes in the associated Fountain café. 

Then a walk around St James the Apostles. Some interesting names in the church itself as well as the churchyard. Preparations were underway for well dressing on Saturday, with clay boards being set up.

A drive up to pause in Upper Town by Chestnut Farm, then back down to Cromford Mills for tea (as the Fountain had closed by then).
