The view from the bed

Fortunately for me, the decision to operate was followed almost instantly by all the prep and then the operation itself. No time to fret or get stressed out.
I woke up to find the recovery room spinning gently around my head.
Later Richard was able to visit me up on the ward, and we chatted with Jack and Ruth online for a few minutes.
Tomorrow should bring some more info. I'm physically comfortable, thankfully.
