Progress!
Nearly time for the roof to go on.
I woke up at 6am all of a shiver and but the heavy wool blanket on the bed and went back to sleep for a while.
I was still cold when I came downstairs at 7.30. Then Frank said your cheeks are red so I took my temp - 38.4 I lay on the couch for most of the morning and dozed off again. This afternoon I felt fit enough to do some light housework then at about 5pm felt shivery again. My temp is now 38.9.
I phoned about my blood results and was told they were fine so no further action needed! I said I’d like another appointment so I will see her on Friday.
I don’t understand Drs these days, they just leave patients wondering with no follow up unless you ask for it.
I didn’t get to tell you my travel tale yesterday as I had already done my Blip on the train by then. What a palaver and what and idiot I am!
I should have got off the train at Lancaster but I’m so used to getting off at Carlisle that I got off there.
I waited about for the connection for an hour then went to the station man. He looked at my ticket and said I’d got off the London train too soon but another train had just come in and was going to Manchester Airport via Lancaster so they let me go on it with no charge.
When I got to Lancaster I went to the station office and asked when the next train to Hellifield was and I told him my predicament. He said the next one wasn’t for 2 hours! I was already an hour late. Anyway he had a word with his colleague and they ordered a taxi for me! It took another hour to get home but they were so nice and so was the taxi driver!
It restored my faith in human beings. The taxi driver said he would get paid £60 each way for taking me home! I didn’t even have change for a tip but he said he was getting enough from the train company.
I’m off to bed now as feeling a bit wabbit.
Goodnight :-)X
