Winter Has Arrived

A cold, wet, miserable day. It's hard to believe that only two days ago the weather was so warm. The temperature has been about 2-3ºC, but it will be snowing down to the foothills.

My little cat has been caught out by the mild autumn. She is still slim and elegant in her summer coat. I made a nest for her out of an old wool carseat cover and although she hadn't seen it before she saw at once that it was just what she needed.

I have spent a frustrating day sewing. I used to do all our family sewing, even my husband's sports jackets and trousers, but haven't done much in recent years. It is amazing that I have forgotten so much.
