Pausing

A quick nip to the allotment at lunchtime to pick blackberries and make preparations for the forthcoming rain. I took a few minutes to appreciate the flowers which are in bloom. It is so easy to be active and busy on the plot and to not find time to pause and take in the surroundings.

These are echinacea I planted two years ago as tiny plug plants. Only a few have survived the slugs and snails, and lashings of wind and rain. They are a delight to me and I am rather hoping you’ll find some joy in them too!

Hope your day has been good to you x
