Spiralling Upwards

I wasn’t sure that there was anything more depressing than sitting at the computer on a Monday morning and using internet banking to pay a multitude of bills that seem to increase month on month until I went down town.

This bright and colourful street art on the Jacobs Ladder wall was commissioned by Falmouth Town Council and painted by students at the local Uni. It has attracted both for and against comments but I like it. What you cannot see is the graffiti on the opposite wall. It’s part of an increasing problem, graffiti, setting fire to public toilets, fast food debris with empty beer bottles and cans strewn across public parks. Aside from the cost of cleaning up it’s the image the town presents to visitors be they cruise ship visitors, day trippers or holiday makers.

Not all doom and gloom, the weather is not as bad as it has been, Paddy and I knocked out a six miler which included a swim in the stream and I spent a relaxing evening with Mrs S.
