The Pearl

The Pearl Crescent is a butterfly found everywhere in the U.S. except on the Pacific coast. It can also be seen in Mexico and southern Canada. This one was visiting a yellow flower of our Florida native Starry Rosinweed. With its yellow tipped antennae I believe that it's a female since males antennae are tipped with black.
