Bulrushes

Kate and Sophie came over for a swim this morning. Sophie was delighted to swim a whole length of the pool for the first time this morning, then did 3 more for good measure.

On a friend’s recommendation, we went out to the Avalon Marshes Centre near Shapwick for lunch in the cafe. There’s lots of information on the wildlife to be found in the various nature reserves that surround it and some stunning photography in the exhibition centre. The cafe was good as well.

We were hoping to have a walk on the reserve but the rain set in so I had to be content with a photo of the pond at the Centre.
