Oppenheimer

Last night's rain had cleared. Breakfast then Tube to the SouthBank and to the BFI IMAX. This has the largest screen of any cinema in the UK, and was also playing a 70mm film print (one of only 30 or so in the world) of Christopher Nolan's new film: 'Oppenheimer'. Settled in for what turned out to be a remarkable film. Try to catch it, but do it on IMAX. If not, you don't see the whole picture. Out to the BFI, and saw a King's College graduation taking place at the Royal Festival Hall - lots of graduates with their gowns, just like my son last week in Norwich - grabbed some lunch and then train back north, which ran very smoothly and was also very quiet.
