Clearwell Castle

About twenty minutes from home is the lovely town of Coleford, Gloucestershire, and I tend to do a shop there two or three times a month. Today was one such day. 

On the outskirts is Clearwell Castle , and I took the opportunity to take an aerial view of the castle and grounds. It dates from 1484 AD with most of it being rebuilt in 1727AD. Today it's a wedding venue (my cousin got married there about 20 years ago and Mrs BB and I were guests and stayed there). Back in the 1970's it was a recording studio with many famous bands such as Queen, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple and Ozzie Osborne & Black Sabbath amongst some of the famous users.
