Swiss chalet
Today was back to being sunny and warm - from three layers yesterday, today I was in a tank top and shorts. We decided to cycle down the Prattigau valley to Serneus today, it is not a great distance so we took our time with many stops for photos and for Gavin to get his drone out. Xena was in her trailer for the road but as soon as we got to the path that followed the river she was out and running next to us - we cycled at a very slow pace so she did not over exert herself.
When we got to Serneus we realised it was lunch time so we had a salad lunch at a favourite restaurant there - it was quite pricey! We cycled back up the valley again and as I felt we had not had enough exercise we continued and went to Mobiel where Gavin took more drone footage and I photographed some more barns! This beautiful chalet is in Serneus which is a very picturesque village, and the extra is of the church there.
We were both attacked by horse flies, they are nasty buggers who leave a big lump after they bite that is very itchy. I also got a huge insect in my eye and despite trying everything it would not come out. Several hours later it finally came out!
In the evening there was another thunderstorm. We watched from the shelter of our apartment how people walking on the golf course opposite the apartment were caught out, one poor woman was running for shelter from the hail with a tiny baby in her pram.
The boys are all currently on their way here. Luke and Adam are on the same flight from Heathrow, and Tommy is on an Easyjet flight from Gatwick that has been delayed by over an hour, He will get in at about 2am!! I have just made him a Tuna Bake as he said he will be starving when he gets here. It will be lovely to have the boys here for the weekend - unfortunately both Meriel and Inca are unable to join us due to work commitments.
