Air Ambulance

Grandson Rory is still quite poorly and stuck in The Royal London Hospital. We've decided to drive down to Wapping and stay for a few nights to see him and help out where we can.

He seemed a lot better than we expected when we arrived, off the oxygen and IV antibiotics, and quite cheeky. He was really pleased to see us. As the day wore on though the doctors were concerned that the improvements were not as good as they had hoped, so he is back on both again now. He is being incredibly brave. As well as the breathing issues he is now covered in a rash, so they are checking for other things such as scarlet fever and measles.

I was thinking my blips over the next few days would just be hospital window views of London, but we heard and then saw the air ambulance helicopter departing when we popped out for a snack and some fresh air. Not a great technical shot but it makes a colourful blip.

We collected Joe from nursery later and brought him to the hospital to see Rory. In the extra they are discussing the intricacies of a Mario game on the hospital Nintendo Switch. We have promised to buy him one as a reward when he gets home. I think Joe will be playing on it as much as Rory.
