caravan

This is a pretty terrible shot I know, but as we crossed the Country from East to West the weather grew steadily greyer and wetter - of course it did; we have a few days off and are spending it in a caravan in Kirkby Lonsdale.

As we appraoched the traffic slowed to an almost stop as we followed Gypsy caravans into town. Every year the travelling community make their way to the Appleby horse fair, stopping in Kirkby and the surrounding area on their way.

Trying not to be down-hearted we unpacked, donned wellies and brollies and headed off to sample the local ales and fodder - it would be rude not to, we are on holiday after all.....
