Tavira

We took the train from Faro to Tavira. Talk about good value for money! A 45-minute journey. A couple of girls beat up to the taxi waiting outside the train station, but the driver told us he’d return and bring us to out hotel, which he did. The blip shows a sculptural group at the roundabout where we waited for his return.

We decided not to venture out of our hotel until the following day. It’s a fine place with every facility imaginable, so there was plenty to keep us occupied. We finished the evening at the rooftop restaurant/bar which provides spectacular views over the town (extra).
