Exploring Tavira

Today was a matter of getting to know Tavira. We’d already done some research at home so had a good general idea of the location of our hotel in relation to the river and the town centre and so on. Inevitably, we found our way to the central square which is on the far side of the river. It’s a lovely space, beautifully paved.

Earlier, we’d come across what we already knew was going to be “our square”, which is close to the hotel and where we had our evening meal. We ended up at restaurant À Mesa, which we liked so much that we decided there and then that it would be where we’d have our evening meal on our last day here.
