Sweeeeet

Woke up at 5am for some reason, but fortunately was able to drift back off and was delighted to reawaken at 9am!

Did a couple of chores and collected a few bits for tea (slow cooked risotto - it was delicious) and then headed out to meet Ms Simmo for a mooch around Bowness, which was absolutely heaving with tourists. Fortunately with Simmo being a local, she knew the best routes to take to remove us from the madding crowd.

There was a very nice little market on from which I very nearly bought a very cool painting of Miles Morales Spider-man, but decided against it. We eventually landed on a small cafe and sat with the wind whipping around us as we sipped our tea, caught up and one of us (I forget who) demolished this delicious mars bar crispy slice.

As the weather turned, a relaxing afternoon in front of the gogglebox followed along with aforementioned tasty risotto and a delicious rhubarb crumble and started watching the Al Pacino-starring series; Hunters.

Just the weekend that was needed!
