Wet

It’s a while since we had a day as wet as today and it was certainly one for indoor jobs. For me, one of these jobs was to sort out and start packing items to take on holiday when we set off in our trusty camper van later in the week.
By late afternoon, Bertie was champing at the bit to get out for his second walk of the day so I had to don the waterproofs and venture forth. In actual fact, it wasn’t so bad as we were sheltered under the trees and the rain was beginning to lessen. Still, I really didn’t think that it was butterfly flying weather. However, this Scotch Argus did its best to prove me wrong. Unfortunately, it folded its wings just as I got my camera out and hunkered down with no obvious sign of moving. I didn’t blame it, so I photographed the underside of its wings before Bertie and I left it in peace and headed for home.
