Kitchen window roses

We inherited this beautiful rose when we bought the house over eleven years ago but I had to move it because of the extension we were building. However, it has been very happy in its sunny corner but has never grown as tall as it has done this year, now peering in the kitchen window.

It was a beautiful day with blue sky, warm sunshine and a breeze, my sort of weather. I had more energy than I have done since I came down with Covid three weeks ago. I made tea cakes for N (one of his favourite treats) and lemon drizzle traybake for the tea/coffee gathering after church this afternoon. 

Although I’m not a football fan, I watched the final of the Women’s Euro final with N and really enjoyed it.
