Time feels rather paradoxical at present. 

There is not much going on, yet the days are flying by and somehow, we find ourselves on the precipice of another August? 

A fairly quiet day at the desk passed and then The Eldest arrived, so we promptly left for a burger and a movie. The burgers were good and the movie; Oppenheimer, was great! Reflecting on what we had just seen as we walked back to the car, we both agreed that the movie was maybe not quite what we were expecting, but nonetheless for that. Definitely worth a look.

Returning home, I was delighted to find a very sweet and thoughtful “thank you” card from the daughter of a friend for whom I had given a birthday present. 

Totally unexpected and a nice way to finish what has actually been a good day as Mondays go!
