A Library morning
This book is part of the Story exhibit at the National Library of Scotland, about the collecting of Gaelic folktales. The legends were all about the collecting, with nothing about the books .. Image taken through a display case.
Started with a meeting in the cafe; decent coffee and nice pottery cups. Then wandered around the upstairs reading rooms; huge amounts of space, and some computers in a corner room.
To the Signet Library next door ; an exhibit called Thereafter by David Eustace, which is rather overwhelmed by the grandeur of the building. In extras; the view in front of the table is perhaps one third of the extent of the main rooms upstairs.
From there to the Levels cafe on the Cowgate for another meeting, then back by the Arches and Waverley Bridge. The High Street was full of people even at 09.30 in the morning in thick mizzle, so I avoided it as much as possible.
