Mr Pheasant

Another sweltering day at work, it was like a furnace in my workshop and I had both doors open but it made no difference.

Went to the dentist at lunch time and all I needed was a scale and polish so thats me now for the next six months.

After tea I went out for a wee drive to see what I could blip. Was on the country road between Gladhouse and Peebles when I saw this little spec of light in the long green grass so I turned off the engine, got out the car and walked along the road slowly and quietly. Then I saw him, Mr Pheasant and his body was obscured by the grass but I just loved this close up of his face.

He looks so alert and ready to run at any moment. Must have been my lucky night for he just stood there and let me snap away.
