It Must be Tuesday

I picked up Ellie for swim lessons this afternoon and invited her mommy to come along. Ellie was so excited to show her mommy how well she was doing; she did everything her teacher asked her to do.  You can see the life raft in the background; in the last session when they put her in it and told her they were going to tip it over she freaked out, this time she went over into the water with the life jacket willingly. She popped back up from under the boat and grabbed the side like she was told to do...and she gave us a thumbs-up sign.

I took Ellie's mom back to her mom & dad's house before I brought Ellie back home with me. She has a playdate planned over here tomorrow morning with a friend she met in pre-school. Her mom called me about 7pm wanting me to pick her up because she was having conflict with her mother; I told her "no, you have to learn to work it out." I didn't hear any more from her so I hope that means they resolved their differences. Ellie and I had a fun evening.
