Bee sunny

To my huge surprise I was woken up by the sun this morning.  I hadn't planned to go out early, but if it was going to be sunny that was me on my way!  I found this bee almost as soon as I entered the reserve.  Assume it's a honey bee, what do you think?

Sadly, but inevitably, the sun didn't last and soft skirls of rain began before I got back to the park, then kept on all day.  Each time I thought I might go out (to walk Hazel, etc) it made it presence felt, almost as though summer's come to an end.

So there we are - you laughed at me yesterday when I said I was going to buy socks, but now I know I need them ;)))
