Ruby Bay

We went to the beach at Ruby Bay at Elie today. You can’t find rubies there, but apparently Pyrope garnets can be found on the rocks between the lighthouse and Lady’s Tower.
We walked along the coastal path which is just above the beach, as far as Ardross Farm shop, then walked back along he beach. It was quiet, so Geordie had a great run around chasing balls, and of course, digging holes.
After a cuppa when we got home I set about giving the front hedge a badly needed haircut. It’s six metres long and was an absolute mess, so it took me hours, but I’m happy to say it’s looking a lot better. A photo in Extras.
I’m off to soak in a hot bath now, or I will suffer tomorrow.
