Garden Flowers
Last night I went to the previews of the Art Festival with my friend, Wendy. I think we took in 12 venues. Painting, drawings, ceramics, jewellery, woodwork and more. Some eye-watering prices, yet a lot of dots to be seen showing a piece has sold. Some venues were so busy we just couldn’t go in. It was great to see such a good turn-out for the artists.
We walked in Hamilton wood this morning and got my new walking boots filthy! Most upsetting!!! :-( Some paths in the wood have been inaccessible because the weeds and wildflowers were so overgrown, but a herd of cattle have been driven through the wood flattening most of the undergrowth and leaving a horrendous mess of trailing cow pats. I’ve never seen that done before. Now the paths are inaccessible for a different reason!!
The rest of the day I’ve pottered in the house and garden. Then I picked some flowers to bring indoors. Something I seldom do, but they’re a good splash of colour.
