North Berwick

A day without rain. Yay! We were almost starting to forget what that was like. Ann's weather app was showing rain for the rest of her life last night so we weren't actually expecting today to be so nice. I went out for about half an hour first thing and then Ann went to the 9am 'Body Balance' class. When she came back, she said, 'Trixie let's go to Seacliff Beach for the day.'

Seacliff Beach is in between North Berwick & Dunbar and it's been mentioned on local radio quite a lot recently, as being a really nice beach to go to. Apparently it's hidden away and not many people know about it. Well, obv they do now because it keeps getting mentioned on the radio.
Mmmmmm.............. it was certainly very 'hidden'. Ann thought she knew where she was going but we couldn't find it!! And unfortunately it wasn't marked on our 2014 road atlas Ann really must buy a new one and there was no signal to look on google maps. So that was the end of that idea!!!

Instead we went to North Berwick and walked along the edge of the golf courses to Yellowcraig Beach and then back along the beaches to North Berwick. It was ever such a nice walk and I took my ball so I was running for pretty much the whole way. When we got back to North Berwick, Ann had some cheesey chips and we sat by the harbour for a rest. By then I was pretty tired because I'd been running for almost 2 hrs. After lunch, I'd perked up a bit so we walked all the way along North Berwick's other beach and then we walked back through the town to our car. 'Strava' tells us we've walked 6.62 miles.

What a lovely day out. Here's hoping the rain will stay away and we can have lots more summer adventures together.
