Peacock

Someone from Butterfly Conservation said that we’re seeing lots of Red Admirals this year because they chose to stay in the UK to overwinter.

He didn’t say why the Small Tortoiseshells are so rare, or why many of us haven’t seen a Painted Lady yet in 2023.

Peacocks are usually very common but this year they’re both late and nowhere near their usual numbers.

This one was teasing me as I tried to get a clear shot. I think it was driving my three Red Admirals crazy as well.

Extra : Dreamie mouse is looking for answers.
