It’s Been Parked A While

While Mrs madwill was at the NEC today, I caught a train to Birmingham and spent the day wandering around the city centre, including a lot of canal towpaths…

I came across this tatty old vessel moored up - it almost looks abandoned.

There were a few boats on the move today and I watched one descend a lock..see extra 1. It had the most wonderful two cylinder diesel engine (see extra 2) running with an amazing whump-whump sound.

I couldn’t resist a visit to The Black Sabbath Bridge..with Geezer and Ozzy…see extra 3.

I walked 10 miles in town - plus another 3 miles (1.5 each way) from the NEC car park to the train station. Over 26,000 steps.
