Be Kind To This Sensitive Plant!

It is Flower Friday on Blip, but it has been so hot here with more triple digit days in a row than I care to count, so I did not have high hopes for finding any wildflowers until I came across these little cuties. They are, indeed, called Sensitive Plants or Sensitive Briar or Cat's Claw and are in the mimosa family. I love their purple color with the bright yellow tips that make me think of fireworks,  though these tips look like they've lost a lot of their color. They are called Sensitive Plants or Briars, because their leaves fold together when touched, but the blossoms have no such problems and bees love them, as you can see!  Thanks to Biker Bear for hosting........
