Nice Weather For Snails

My timing was good today. It rained heavily all morning but by 2 pm the rain had eased so I decided to go out for a walk. It soon stopped altogether. I was bombarded by Swallows, who have clearly had a good breeding year. 10 minutes after I arrived home, it resumed raining heavily.
The snails were having a field day in the wet conditions.
