Living his best life
My nephew is spending a year in Long Island working as a counsellor at Camp America. His job is teaching sailing to (rich and privileged) young Americans, and I think the smile sums it all up. My brother is currently out in the US visiting and they met up for a few hours on his day off. My nephew was one of the young people who missed out so much during Covid so I am delighted that he has now found out what living life is all about.
Fairly quiet day chez nous, OH went to football and saw his team win. No.1 and I pottered a bit and then got the sewing machine out and made some napkins - joint effort. I was cutting and pressing and she was sewing. We were both pleased with the way they turned out and it was nice that No.1 had the energy and enthusiasm for the the project. She started flagging late afternoon and had a sleep before dinner (beef stroganoff - OH's favourite which is a good way of making two pieces of filet steak go three ways!).
Another day done and JC back tomorrow which will be nice for No.1 who has missed him.
