Hills under the winter sun

At last, sunshine!

With a fair day, I squeezed into some comfortable shoes and hobbled my way out on my crutches into the garden for a quick 'walk' around our circular drive.

It's on a bit of a slope our place, so by the end of my exertions I was pretty knackered, but the fresh air and sun on my face and back made it all worthwhile.

Of course, no jaunt around the property would be complete without my camera, so i strapped on the Nikon and ended up capturing this image of the low sun hitting the hills at the bottom of the valley. The early winter colours and textures of the volcanic hills looked delightful in the milky light.

Here's hoping for more golden rays tomorrow....
