Corrugated
Early this Sunday morning I was woken by what sounded like someone whacking a hammer against corrugated iron sheets. Which upon investigation is the noise it transpired to be. I think a sun shade is being erected for the apartments below mine. I support their comfort, but ideally later on a Sunday morning. Good job I’d not done my usual Saturday night tendency of 3am YouTube trawling.
I thought if my head was already getting a bashing I may as well perturb it further by finishing my funding proposal deadline, due Monday. By midday it was proofread, with only a few pieces of information to verify in the morning. Hallelujah.
This left space for an afternoon of reading and getting some overdue sun. And in the evening another little side project I have embarked upon; helping with edits on a book about Africa.
