Holding On. Lumix M4/3 20mm
Outside the Boston Green Academy is this rather dramatic sculpture. It commemorates Harold Connolly, a four-time Olympian in the Hammer Throw. He won a Gold at the Melbourne Olympics in 1956.
For my purposes - and if one frames carefully -, the figure's exertions seem to represent Holding On for dear life to everything we have won, and value.
The Extra gives a more general view of the work in its surroundings.
