Productive

Somehow we managed to not have breakfast until 9am this morning, so by the time we’d finished half the morning had flashed by.  I put all the “homeless” items into the new cupboard in the wardrobe and moved some other items there from the wardrobe in the third bedroom.  Meanwhile MrMacD wielded the vacuum to great effect, then installed the video doorbell and waxed the dining room table.  I also had things to do with regards to my Mum’s probate, which took a few emails backwards and forwards with my siblings.

After lunch I decided to make some muesli, which then became granola, at least I hope it did.  Breakfast tomorrow morning will tell.  At the same time I roasted some nuts and seeds to use as “sprinkles” on porridge and anything else we feel like.  We had a very exciting delivery this afternoon - a rather splendid sideboard-type piece of furniture for our entrance hall.  It’ll certainly be a talking point as it’s quite unusual, but it fits in the entrance hall and will be able to withstand the sun that streams in there.  After we’d unpacked it and tidied away the packing materials we went off to do some shopping, which was quite a mission as we don’t know our way around the supermarket yet.

I finished off the muesli/granola/concoction after supper, chopped up the nuts for sprinkles, chopped the vegetables for a pot of soup and MrMacD prepared the dough for bread to be baked in the morning.  Quite a productive day, really.
