Lower Gear…
Hello Everyone,
Morning ride on the turbos was okay other than needing to reset my Garmin (Bike computer) before I started, thank goodness for YouTube I say.
I spent about 4 hours in the workshop trying to fit a shelf to a machine stand, lots of wrestling and acrobatics but I got the bulk of the tricky stuff done. I need to apply a finish coat of paint to it now its assembled, which I will do tomorrow afternoon after I get back from collecting my new winter bike.
As mentioned yesterday I needed to lower the gear on my track bike in readiness for another go on the rollers. I just had to change the chainring (see photo) which is not a difficult job. I also made sure the tires were pumped up to 120 psi and adjusted the space between the middle and front roller on the rollers.
The roller ride was a lot better, and I took the Revs Per Minute (RPM) up to over 100 for a little bit. The new problem was that I could not unclip my shoe (new hip side) from the pedal. I had to take the shoe off to get off the bike. I am not unduly concerned about this, just something for me to overcome.
Stay happy, strong, and healthy.
