Katoomba Station

Katoomba Station is pretty old by Australian standards and was opened in 1874. It will therefore celebrate its 150th anniversary next year. I am told it is due for some restorations here and there, in time for the event.

For now, I couldn't help giving it the "olde" treatment, along with a typeface to suggest hand lettering, so commonly seen in genuinely old prints. The only thing to potentially spoil the view, is the construction of a brand new medical centre (left) which will ultimately reflect the quaint architectural heritage of the location.
