Enjoyed the sunshine today. N was checking the calving cows this evening when he saw a cow had just dropped her calf successfully but what was so alarming, a large dark fox was circling the pair and was crouching down ready to attack the calf still lying on the ground. N scared it off and J will check again tonight to make sure all is well. The fox has probably got young to feed - but not our calves thank you very much!
