Somersal Hall

A fabulous day, both weather wise and in terms of interest.

We started with The Old Manor, went up to Thorswood where my brother explained about a lot of the interesting and rare wildflowers. We finished our planned day at Tissington where we relaxed and had a coffee.

At The Old Manor one of the guides had mentioned a half timbered hall near the church in Somersal Herbert with links to the Fitzherbert family. As there were diversions on the A515 we called into the village of Somersal and found this treasure.

It was the highlight of the day.
