La Modelo Prison

Back blip

Bb and I went into this newish hotel in our barrio to have a wee nosey and then ended up having a drink on their roof terrace. It was really interesting to see the views of the old La Modelo men’s prison. We’ve walked past this hundreds of times at street level and have blipped the art on the outside walls more than once and blipped its decommissioning. I zoomed in for this shot and you can just see Sagrada Familia to the left of the tower.

I’d always thought it was El Modelo, but it’s not. I think it must be Catalan.
