Sign of the times ....

Another busy one. Round the cattle first, then set Kev on carting straw bales home from down at the village. I went down to lift the wet ones I baled last night to keep them separate. They will just have to do for bedding straw. Back home and hauled the last 2 loads of weaned heifers up to the hill.
Back home, hitched up the mower,a quick lunch then headed next door to open up another field of grass. Hopefully we will get the end rigs baled tomorrow. The combine contractor phoned to say that they still had a bit of rape to cut so would aim to cut the rest of my winter barley tomorrow. Hopefully the rain will stay away.
Once I got back home, spent an hour hacking my way through the big lawn which hasn't been cut for weeks thanks to the wet weather.
Then checked the calving cows.N15 had not long calved a wee heifer. Hopefully it will have sucked by the morning.
Then a trip down the road to feed all the cattle there. Filled the petrol cans, and land rover with diesel . £147, just like that. Ouch.
This give way sign must have come from the land down under ......
