The Glorious Twelfth .....

Back to sunshine and heavy showers today after the last few days of brief dry weather.
A day mostly spent on cattle. Phone call from wee brother first off to bring in a cow that needed calving. It took a 2 bike rodeo to get her down to the steading as she didn't want to cooperate,but we got her there.
Calf just needed a bit of a pull with the calving jack and it came out alive and well.
Back home to check my big field of calving cows next. 2 newly calved,all ok so left them to it. Next,managed to separate 6 cows and calves into a different field ready to bring in and tag next week.
After lunch ,headed down the road to feed heifers ,then back next door to check wee brother's in calf heifers as he's away to Aberdeen today.
Then round my cows tonight,another 2 have calved, both in sucking their mums . Always glad to see .
Today is the Glorious Twelfth. This is about as close as I'll get to a grouse though !
