Restful Day

Pets were ready for breakfast at 6:00 so we all got up. I decided to get my blip before the sun was too bright. I’d seen these three gorgeous zinnias in Kim’s front garden yesterday begging to become famous. She has the same terrible weed as I fight with all summer. It has leaves similar to bee balm so I am hesitant to pull it when it is small. She probably had the same dilemma. I got rid of literally hundreds. The rest will have to wait until tomorrow. Hubby brought me coffee and my toothpaste on his way to the dermatologist. He bought a finial connecting rod that was missing from one of my stained glass lamp shades. That project has been on my to do list since I purchased them from their owner a few years ago. The first aid supplies I ordered for Skylar’s dorm kit were also ready so he picked them up while he was out. Ring alerted me he was cutting grass in this heat as well. He’s had a productive day. I have not. Other than taking care of Trek and making a sandwich for lunch, I have slept in the recliner with a headache. I only get them once in awhile thank goodness. It will be gone soon. Kim’s house is all in order so there weren’t jobs I could do for her anyway. As a teacher, she is usually home much of summer break. This time, she substituted for a teacher whose Mom was diagnosed with cancer. Her children have kept things tidy. It’s time for another summer weekend. Sending wishes that yours is fun filled (even if it’s still winter for some of you). Stay safe. Thanks for dropping by. “Zinnia flowers gushing with color blooms, Dancing in the breeze.
