Here comes the sun(flower)

A drizzly, cloudy day. I’m hoping the blooming of this sunflower in my garden will bring some actual sunshine!

Friend C and her daughter flew in this morning from Bristol and are staying with me. We’ve had a nice low key day mainly due to the weather.

Jersey’s famous Battle of Flowers was moved this year from its time honoured Thursday to a Friday. Naturally yesterday (Thurs) was beautiful in the tradition of the weather always working out. But today… not so much. Oh dear.

We are going to the moonlight parade tomorrow, fingers crossed it will be dry at least!
