Dead Man's Fingers

Another shortish walk with the spaniel. I managed an hour and a half this morning so things are slowly improving. We went to Maidensgrove and walked down into the Warburg Nature Reserve collecting blackberries on the way. The spaniel loves blackberries and if I stop to pick them he will start eating any low hanging ones. I came across several fallen tree trunks with Dead Man's Fingers (Xylaria polymorpha) fungi showing through the moss.
