Pollok House, Glasgow
A very leisurely day touring the beautiful Pollok House and gardens in Glasgow. The weather turned out far better than expected. I loved the maze but I doubt John would like trimming those hedges! The interior was stunning with a splendid art collection. The carved plaster work reminded me of the work of Scottish architect Robert Adams. My favorite was the pink Drawing Room. I especially enjoyed seeing the servant’s rooms “below stairs”. Off tomorrow to take the train to the coast and then a ferry to the Isle of Arran. Gift224: cooperating weather.
