Hunting for Perseids

What to do after a very busy day in Wageningen yesterday? Well, as it turned out, after returning the rental van I had about three hours time to prepare for the Perseids meteor shower shoot with Ton and Herman. I also tried to squeeze in some sleep, but had only dozed off a little bit when the alarm went again at 0.40. "Taxi driver" Ton appeared at the agreed time and we drove to the location we had in mind, where Herman was already waiting. Then a 20 minute walk to a beautiful location where we had a good time seeing and capturing the Perseids. When it was getting light again, we left and I made it to bed just after six 'o clock in the morning. Boy did I need to sleep. What an amazing experience though!

This is one of the many shots with one or more meteors in them. This one has two meteors, with one short yet very bright and the other one a longer streak of light. As a bonus, it also has a bit of Milky Way in there.
